Adam Scher is originally from Southern California. He studied contemporary ballet at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. Adam has choreographed dance for over ten years and has performed at Galapagos Arts Space, Dixon Place, 92nd St. Y, the danceNOW festival, Joyce Soho, Triskaleon Arts, The Irondale Center and Provincetown Dance Festival. Adam was honored with residencies at Pamona College, The Yard, Queens Museum, Fort Wayne Ballet in Indiana, the Baryshnikov Arts Center, and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. Adam recently won first place in a documentary film competition sponsored by LVMH (Louis Vuitton) and Parsons The New School for Design. Adam completed his MFA in Design Technology at Parsons The New School for Design in the spring of 2011.
